The Capital Divers Association is celebrating its 30th year in 2002. It sponsors monthly program meetings with topics ranging from local dive opportunities to wreck diving seminars to dive safety. It's membership consists of experienced and novice divers alike. The dive season runs from April through October and features a wide range of degrees of difficulty from novice wreck and quarry dives to more advanced wreck dives. Most of our quarry diving is done within three hours drive of the metro DC area and are usually centered around family events. Our ocean dives are usually on the wrecks off the North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and Delaware coasts. Membership is $20.00 per year plus a $5.00 initiation fee for new members. Benefits of membership include a monthly newsletter, group rates for club dives and some expenses for speakers and special activities.

The Chesapeake Bay Barracudas Dive Club chapter of the SSI Club Aquarius is devoted to the activities, fellowship and information related to the sport of diving, and the promotion of safety, research, education and public service relative to underwater topics and activities. The Divemasters Association is open to all seafarers - young and old alike. You don't have to be a divemaster, or even a diver, to join. If you want to become a certified diver or advance your current certification level, the Divemasters Association will help you succeed.

With a roster that includes many advanced divers, membership in the Divemasters Association provides newly certified divers the opportunity to learn and gain experience that will help make their diving adventures safe and more enjoyable.

Club activities include 'scuba cookouts' with underwater treasure hunts, many one-day local dives trips, and multi-day diving trips to many locations in Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and the Caribbean.

The club meets on the first Thursday of the month from February through October with a Holiday party in December. Meetings are held at Topeka's Steakhouse'n Saloon 55 TownCenter Way, Hampton, VA. Dinner from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Meeting begins immediately following dinner.

The Peninsula River Rats is a SCUBA Diving Club dedicated to "camaraderie through safe diving." The club promotes the enjoyment and safety as well as the educational aspects of SCUBA diving. Club members range in experience level from novice to certified dive master. The club organizes a variety of one-day local dives as well as multi-day diving trips to a variety of locations in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and the Caribbean. The club meets from March through November on the fourth Tuesday of the month at the Northampton Branch of the Hampton Public Library at 936 Big Bethel

An elite group of hunters and killers. Open to both freedivers and scuba spearfisherman. We thrive on the slaying and eating of the oceans bounty. We arrange special charters out of Virginia Beach to wrecks that provide an ample bounty. All kills are carefully documented for reporting to Spearfishing Magazine. Clinics are held with major spearfishing suppliers and manufacturers.
