Manta
Lodge, located at the north-eastern corner of the island of
Tobago in the sleepy fishing village of Speyside, is nestled
on the fringe of the Mountain Rain Forest, the oldest rainforest
preserve in the Western Hemisphere.
 Facilities
Embellished in old world Caribbean elegance, the cozy 22 room
property may be small, but it still features a number of 'big'
amenities. The Green Moray Bar & Restaurant, soft sand
beach, full service dive shop, freshwater swimming pool, reading
nook with a multi-lingual lending library, endless hiking
trails and plenty of room to relax!
Accommodations
Manta Lodge is set on the beach front and has 18 Superior
rooms and 2 Loft rooms.
Superior rooms have ocean views leading to private porches
or balconies, and offer quiet split-unit air-conditioning.
In place of  French
doors leading to porches, the two Loft Rooms have a private
exit that leads to their own ocean view roof deck.
In lieu of using the air conditioning, many guests prefer
to leave their French doors open to the outside world, enabling
the cooling tradewinds to breeze through the room.
There is nothing more pleasant than being lulled to sleep
by the rhythmic sounds of the surf and waking to the symphony
of an early morning rain shower followed by views of the breathtaking
Atlantic Ocean.

The rooms come with a variety of different bedding arrangements,
which enables us to tailor your room to your specific bedding
 requests.
All rooms have private bathrooms with shower. Linens are provided
including beach towels for use at the pool and on your dives.
Toiletries are limited to hand soap, so please bring your
own shampoo, conditioner and hair dryer.
Your room is equipped with a hot water heater and cups for
making tea or instant coffee. Feel free to bring your own
coffee packs or tea, or you may purchase these items at the
restaurant.
Restaurant
The Green Moray - Fine dining is an important part of Manta
Lodge with breakfast, lunch and dinner served daily. Meal
plans are available and can be tailored to meet you needs.
Activities
The Lodge's serene and comfortable setting is the backdrop
to a host of activities including bird watching, fishing,
hiking, snorkeling and most especially, diving.
Scuba Diving
Tobago Dive Experience is housed within the grounds of Manta
Lodge, within a five minute truck ride to our dive departure
area at the Speyside Jetty. Please visit the Tobago Dive Experience

Lodge have to offer our divers and dive students!
At Manta Lodge, we have an air conditioned shop, which is
filled with Mares and Scubapro equipment for retail, as we
are dealers in all these manufacturers and more. A complete
range of well maintained dive equipment is available for rental
as well, including wet suits, BCD's, fins, masks, snorkels,
computers, etc. In fact everything you need to go diving and
have fun!
 Dive
Safety Gear Considerations: Diving in Tobago often involves
drift diving, so to ensure your safe return from your dive,
Tobago Dive Experience requires all divers to wear a safety
sausage. Sausages are available for rent at the dive shop
for those who do not have their own.
The shop is also fitted with DVD player and TV for training
purposes.
We have access to Manta Lodge's swimming pool where all of
our pool work is completed. PADI, NAUI and BSAC Courses are
taught by our on-site dive professionals.
